Best Travel Website to be Named by Web Marketing Association in 28th Annual WebAward Competition

The Web Marketing Association is looking for the best travel sites in the world as part of their 28th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site development at www.webaward.org. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 90 industries, including travel, airline and hotel & lodging websites, based on the seven criteria of a successful web site. The deadline for the best travel web sites to enter to be judged is May 31, 2024.

Websites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry in the Travel category is judged against other travel entries and then against an overall standard of excellence.

All travel entrants benefit from receiving valuable feedback in terms of their specific criteria scores compared against the average scores for their industry. They also may receive specific comments from the WebAward’s professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.

Websites are judged on seven criteria, including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use and receive a numeric score.  Each WebAward entry is judged against other entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.  Entrants also benefit from receiving valuable feedback from the WebAwards professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.

WEBAWARD WINNERS

Winning a WebAward is an outstanding marketing opportunity for both the “Award-Winning Website” and the company and developers who brought the site to life. Winning Websites are honored with a dedicated Winner’s Page on our highly-ranked competition website providing significant SEO benefits, as well as recognizing the teams and individuals responsible for remarkable web development.

Winners of the 2024 WebAward Competition will also receive a commemorative NFT to recognize their success. TOP AWARDS

This year’s top awards will include:

A “Best of Industry” WebAward will be given in each of the 90 industry categories, including education, financial services, healthcare, small business, travel, advertising, transportation and government.

The competition’s highest honor, the 2024 WebAward “Best of Show,” will be given to the one site that the judges believe represents the pinnacle of outstanding achievement in Web development.  Last year’s Best of Show winner was presented EPAM Systems, Inc. for their outstanding work on the Aston Martin Website. .

The Web Marketing Association will also recognize the interactive agency winning the most awards in the competition with the “Top Interactive Agency” WebAward. For the second year in a row, Australia-based welcome. was named Top Agency at the 2023 WebAward Competition, taking home 10 WebAwards and earning 37 quality points. The Top Agency Award is given to recognize the consistently outstanding development going on at interactive firms.

The WebAward Top Agency award recognizes consistency of effort and is given to the interactive agency that wins the most WebAwards in a given year. All locations and offices of a specific agency will be consolidated for the purpose of determining the winner of this award. Each entrant will be awarded points based on the level of award for each award received. A Best of Show will be worth 10 points, Best of Industry 5 points and each Outstanding award 3 points and a Standard of Excellence 1 point. The agency with the most points will be awarded the Top Agency Award for 2024.

Each year, many agencies and some corporations win multiple awards and deserve additional recognition. This year, we will recognize each organization that wins 6 or more WebAwards with an Outstanding Interactive Developer trophy. The Web Marketing Association judges will select the best Voice Skills or Actions in 86 industries as part of their 22nd annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards. This is the first international award program to judge the exploding use of voice assistants like Alexa skills or Google Actions in branding and advertising. The Web Marketing Association judges will select the best websites used as advertising in 86 industries as part of their 22nd annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. Companies or agencies wishing to nominate their website advertising work for consideration may do so at www.IACAward.org before the deadline of January 31, 2024.

The IAC Awards were developed to evaluate and recognize innovation and excellence in online advertising which includes a category for Websites. The Web Marketing Association’s WebAward Competition for Website Development will focus on the entire Web site, with particular emphasis on the creativity and functionality of the overall interactive experience.  Websites entered into the Website category of the IAC Awards will be judged based on their advertising merit.  A site can be entered in both the IAC Awards and the WebAward Competition.

Entries may be submitted online at http://www.iacaward.org.  The deadline for entry is January 31, 2024 and will be judged on creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, and use of the medium.

In addition to Websites, awards will be presented within each of the industry categories and advertising formats such as:

  • Online ads (including banner, pop-up or interstitial)
  • Rich media ads
  • Email message campaign
