WebAward15 logoThe Web Marketing Association is looking for the best automotive websites in the world as part of their 19th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site development at www.webaward.org. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 96 industries, including automobile web sites, based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site. The deadline for automobile websites to enter to be judged is May 29, 2015.
“The automobile industry is one of the most competitive when it comes to Web development and companies can benefit from the independent evaluation of their online efforts,” said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “The automotive industry is one of the few that have beaten the overall scores in Web development all ten years. They were one of the first to understand the importance of integrating the Internet and technology into their business strategy. They understand that consumers now usually go online before they walk in to the showroom.”

Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry is judged against other entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.

All entrants benefit from receiving valuable feedback in terms of their specific scores compared against the average scores for their industry. They also may receive specific comments from the WebAward’s professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.

Best Faith-based Web site to be Named by Web Marketing Association in 19th Annual WebAward Competition

WebAward15 logoThe Web Marketing Association is looking for the best faith-based Websites in the world as part of their 18th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site development at the WebAward Web site. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 96 industries, including all religious denominations web sites, based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site. The deadline for advertising web sites to enter to be judged is May 29, 2015.

Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry in the advertising category is judged against other advertising entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.

Best Websites in 96 Industries Announced

2014 WebAward Competition for website development

The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the winners of its 18th annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. More than 1,500 entries from 40 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year’s competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

Best of Show

The 2014 Best of Show WebAward is presented to Intouch Solutions for their exceptional work on PillCamCrohns.com. The site was also recognized as Best Pharmaceuticals Website.

PillCam SB can travel where other medical diagnostic tools can’t, giving patients and their doctors a complete picture of what is happening inside the GI tract to better diagnose and assessing treatment.

As a result, the website focused on reaching patients who had already been diagnosed with Crohn’s but felt that their current treatment plan might not be working. The site helps get patients talking with their doctors about how PillCam SB could help improve their treatment plan.

 

Top Agency

Extractable was named Top Agency at the 2014 WebAward Competition, taking home a record 55 WebAwards this year. This is the third time Extractable has won the Top Agency WebAward, following up top honors in 2009 and 2010. Competition format

The competition was judged by a team of independent Internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of Web site development. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executives, content providers and webmasters.

The WebAward competition format allows Web sites to compete head to head with other sites within their industry to win the Best of Industry award. Entries also compete against a standard of excellence to win Outstanding Website and Standard of Excellence WebAwards. Each site is judged on seven different criteria and earns a score between 0 and 70 points. The highest score in a given category wins Best of Industry for that category. If the remaining entries receive a score of 60 or greater, they receive the Outstanding Web site award. Entries that score higher than their industry average and below 59.9 receive the Standard of Excellence.
