Best Social Media Campaigns to Be Named by Web Marketing Association

new_iac_logoThe Web Marketing Association judges will select the best social media advertising campaigns in 86 industries as part of their 13th annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. Companies or agencies wishing to nominate their work for consideration may do so at http://www.IACAward.org before the deadline of January 30, 2015.

“Marketers using social media, like Facebook and Linkedin, to engage consumers is exploding,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association. Using either apps or pages can an effective advertising tool to build brand awareness and engage consumers using social media. The IAC Awards provides an opportunity to show the world your expertise in this emerging field. It’s also a great marketing opportunity for the winners to promote their work to senior management, customers and prospects”.

The 2015 Internet Advertising Competition Awards are open to all organizations and individuals (advertising and interactive agencies, corporate marketing departments, etc.) involved in the process of developing Internet advertising. Entries may be submitted online at http://www.iacaward.org. The deadline for entry is January 30, 2015 and will be judged on creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, and use of the medium.

VML won Best of Show Social Media campaign in the 2013 Internet Advertising Competition Awards for Revlon Expression Experiment, which also won Best Consumer Goods Social Media campaign.

In addition to mobile applications, awards will be presented within each of the industry categories and advertising formats such as:

Mobile Apps

Email message campaign

Web sites (including microsites and landing pages)

Online ads (including banner, pop-up or interstitial)

Online applications

Integrated ad campaign

Rich media ads

Online Video

Online newsletter campaign

Interactive agencies that win multiple awards will also be in the running for Top Agency Award. In a change from prior years, each entrant will be awarded points based on the level of award for each award received. A Best of Show will be worth 5 points, Best of Industry 3 points and each Outstanding award 1 point. The agency with the most points will be awarded the Top Agency Award.

In an effort to recognize those organizations that demonstrate exceptional development skills across multiple entries, agencies that win more the 6 awards will also be recognized with an Outstanding Advertising Developer award from the Web Marketing Association. In 2014, 13 agencies won this honor.

Judging for the IAC Awards will take place in February, 2015, and winners will be notified by e-mail in March, 2015. Judges will consist of a select group of Internet advertising professionals with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Web advertising. Past competition judges have included top executives from leading corporations, institutions and media organizations such as Arc Worldwide, BGT Partners, Brunner Digital, Campbell-Ewald, CNN News Group, Deep Interactive Asia, Digitas, EuroRSCG 4D, Google, IBM Interactive, imc2, JWT, LeapFrog Interactive, Mass Transmit, McCann Worldgroup, Razorfish, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Tectis GmbH, TMP Worldwide, Universal McCann Interactive and Wunderman / Y&R.

Online Advertising Professionals Needed to Judge 2015 IAC Awards

new_iac_logoThe Web Marketing Association’s 13th annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Award program is currently accepting entries and is looking for qualified judges to help adjudicate this year’s award program. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. The Competition Web site is located at http://www.iacaward.org and the deadline for entry is January 30, 2015.

To nominate yourself or someone within your organization, please complete the Judge’s Nomination Form. Internet and advertising professionals selected as judges will be contacted during the first week of January.

“We created the IAC Awards to highlight the best in this unique advertising medium by industry,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association, Inc. “We are looking to expand the judging pool for the awards by bring on qualified advertising professionals to help us set the standard of excellence for online advertising. We are looking for individuals who have direct experience developing online advertising. Our judges must have an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in web advertising, an eye for a well-designed ad and the objectivity to score entries according to a predefined set of criteria”.

Judging for the IAC Awards will take place in February, 2015, and winners will be notified by e-mail one week prior to the general announcement of winners in March, 2015. The Best Online Advertising To Be Named By Web Marketing Association

The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. This international award program will evaluate all forms of online advertising, including email, page-based ads, online newsletters, mobile apps, Websites, video and social media in 86 industry categories. The Competition Web site is located at www.iacaward.org and the deadline for entry is January 30, 2015.

“Online advertising continues to explode in all of it forms,” said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “The IAC Awards can provide third party confirmation that clients are getting the best creative for their ad dollars. Award Update

WMAlogo_fbMobileWebAwards – The MobileWebAward’s Call for Entries has ended and the judging is now underway. We expect the winners to be announced in early December. Good luck to all who entered!

WebAwards – The winners of the 18th annual WebAwards should be receiving their physical awards very soon if they have not done so already. Awards that were ordered will begin production as soon as the initial awards are shipped.

Internet Advertising Competition – the 13th annual IAC Award website is currently being updated to an entirely new design. The Call for Entries will begin the first week of November.

IAC Winners Update

We have been told by our award Manufacturer, Society Awards, that the initial Best of Industry crystal statues for each of the winners has been produced and shipped to the nominator associated with the winning entry. Certificates for Outstanding Online Advertising winners were also shipped this week.

The awards ordered from the WMA Recognition Center are currently in production and will be shipped as soon as they are completed.

Winners can order additional personalized awards to recognize their achievement at the WMA Recognition Center.

IAC Awards Judging Complete
