The Web Marketing Association is looking for the best radio websites as part of their 28th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site development. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 90 industries, including radio web sites, based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site. The deadline for broadcast web sites to enter to be judged is May 31, 2024.
“In the broadcasting realm, particularly within radio, a website emerges as a crucial channel for connecting with listeners, spotlighting your programs and events, and conveying the unique essence of your station. The radio and television sectors increasingly harness their online platforms as vital conduits for ad revenue,” highlighted William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “These digital spaces should act as a valuable resource for their intended audience. The WebAward Competition opens the airwaves for radio websites to broadcast their creative spirit, innovative approaches, and efficacy in providing top-tier content while cultivating a dedicated following. Undergoing a professional review of your broadcasting website is merely one of the perks of entering the annual WebAward program, and the prestige of owning an ‘award-winning’ site certainly amplifies your marketing frequency.”
Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry in the radiocategory is judged against other radio entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.
