In its 28th year, the international WebAward Competition, organized by the Web Marketing Association at www.webaward.org, is on the hunt for the world’s premier Advocacy websites. The WebAwards establishes industry standards for 90 different fields, including Advocacy, Environmental, LGBTQ and Non-profits, judging them on seven critical website effectiveness criteria. Entries for legal websites are open until May 31, 2024.
“Advocacy groups depend on their websites as a megaphone to broadcast their causes and rally their base,” remarked William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “In the fiercely contested arena of web development for advocacy, organizations stand to gain from unbiased assessments of their digital campaigns. These sites are often applauded for their user-friendliness, aesthetic design, and content depth, yet there’s a call for heightened technological adoption and innovation. The WebAward Competition offers a stage for advocacy websites to demonstrate their influence, ingenuity, and efficiency in propelling societal transformation.”
Judging of websites entails analysis across seven criteria design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use.. Each Advocacy category entry is assessed against its peers and a standardized excellence criterion.
All Advocacy entrants benefit from receiving valuable feedback in terms of their specific scores compared against the average scores for their industry. They also may receive specific comments from the WebAward’s professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.
Winners of a WebAward in the Advocacy category will also receive:

Winners of the 2024 WebAward Competition Best Advocacy Website will receive a commemorative NFT to recognize their success. The Web Marketing Association WebAward Competition is the first award program to provide its winners a limited-edition Ethereum-based Non-Fungible Token (NFT) to commemorate their award-winning website achievement.
Each year the Web Marketing Association names the Best Advocacy Website based on the scores submitted by the competition judges.
