Sounding off against big-name competitors like Pandora and Spotify, online music provider Rhapsody needed to put on an amazing show to entice a list rental audience to give its service a spin. So with this email, we played to the numbers with enticing copy and a visually striking layout that struck a chord with music enthusiasts (and looked fantastic in a desktop or mobile view). It hit the right notes‐resulting in a whopping 11% response rate from folks who had likely never heard of Rhapsody.
