The Follow The Wings™ campaign was developed by Sunovion Pharmaceutical Inc.’s Lunesta® brand team as an integrated campaign to leverage brand awareness of the LUNESTA moth. Greater Than One’s Experience Design team developed a variety of concepts to create an immersive brand experience that would promote the Follow The Wings ™ campaign and showcase the LUNESTA brand icon, the Luna moth, in a compelling way. The concept that was chosen was “Visual Splendor”. In this concept, the Luna moth took viewers on a journey through New York City and beyond. The idea was to end with the followthewings.com URL call to action to drive visitors to learn more.
Greater Than One selected Connected Productions to bring the vision to life with 3D mapping technology. The Experience Design team worked with Connected Productions Creative Director, 3D team, lighting, projection mapping and sound designers to bring the vision to life. The projection premiered on the side of the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District of New York city. This one night only event was projected 6 times over the course of the evening and spectators were encouraged to attend the event by street teams and PR.
The projection was then filmed by 3 camera crews from different angles to create the final viral video.
Over 200 people attended the event with very little advertising and promotion. The video has so far been viewed 292,908 times and shared over 600 times via social media.
