Business is thriving in Aegis Media Finland (Carat, White Sheep Isobar, iProspect, Posterscope and Vizeum), so we wanted to get the best in the biz to come work for us. We created a recruitment campaign that incorporated Google Adwords.
Our staff members wrote hundreds of personalized messages to their contacts in other advertising agencies. Once these contacts googled their names, they would see a personalized Google Ad that led them to our campaign site. In addition to promoting the campaign in select media, our staffers shared the campaign on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Our vision of how being one of the best was something our target group wanted to share really paid off: our goals were reached during the first week of the campaign, which became a viral sensation that spread in blogs and other social media. The campaign even made headlines on news sites.
We got nearly 45 000 clicks via Google, over 95% of which were from people in the biz. 77 000 people saw the campaign in Facebook alone. We received 250 applications, and over 30 people were hired.
