Best Travel Online Ad

The following ad is a sample of the campaign adacado ran for Webjet, Australia’s leading online travel booking site. The campaign ran for sixty day (Dec. 2010 - Jan. 2011) across various ad networks, targeting the general Australian market with an obvious emphasis on travel related content and audience. While creative changed several times over the campaign as we worked with the client to test new concepts and optimize performance, it always maintained a simplistic design focused on a single destination. Rather than presenting general brand focused creative (e.g. “Find Cheap Flights at Webjet”), the adacado campaign’s approach was to present specific destination offers containing up to the moment pricing, with the end goal being an increase in sales conversions and ROI. Drawing from the popular Deal Finder section of Webjet’s site, the adacado ads were integrated with Webjet’s backend database via XML data feed to ensure that key elements (i.e. price, availability) were updated hourly. Pulling all the Deal Finder offers into the adacado platform enabled the ads to dynamically select a mix of five different destination offers to present within every single ad impression. Aside from standard publisher provided targeting (e.g. travel channel), adacado provided additional targeting by departure city. Based on the viewer’s location, adacado dynamically selected Webjet offers to match the departure city of the viewer. In other words, the ad would only present Melbourne based offers to a viewer located in Melbourne, thereby improving ad relevance for the audience and conversion performance for the advertiser.
