Elite Editing is a New York–based full-service editorial company, offering proofreading, editing and writing help for businesses, academics and individuals through the website EliteEditing.com. In its first year, Elite Editing has carved a niche in the crowded online marketplace due to its unique focus on matching the right editor with each client, effectively offering personal editorial service over the web. The goal of the “How It Works” video, as displayed on the homepage of EliteEditing.com, is to illustrate our process so that potential clients could see how quickly and easily they could upload their documents, pay and receive Elite Editing’s proofreading and editing services. The UK-based motion graphics firm Jim Jam Graphics was tasked with using a kinetic text style animation to bring the copy to life. Keeping in line with the brand's aesthetic and ethos, the animation also had to help easily explain the three-step process. The goal of this video was to design for a wide array of potential clients, due to the diversity of our audience. The result has been well received not only by clients, but even led to acclaim by design sites such as Vimeo.com.
