We worked with The Home Depot Employment Marketing Group for over a year to sell in and develop a rich, engaging Facebook experience. The page launched in Oct 2010 and is an interactive Facebook presence designed specifically to meet the recruiting needs of The Home Depot. The purpose for The Home Depot Careers Facebook Page is threefold:
1. Create a clear, brand-consistent careers presence that appeals to the Facebook audience and extends the reach of their traditional careers website, while demonstrating the “leading edge” nature of The Home Depot.
2. Populate the page with consistent, accurate content around The Home Depot employer brand values with specific attention to customer service and customer interaction; open jobs and the application process; and an insider view to employment environment.
3. Establish a talent advantage over competitors that stands the test of time, and that evolves to meet the needs and/or expectations of the users, through future enhancements and regular content enhancements.
In December the page launched a scavenger hunt sweepstakes with the goal to achieve 1000 new likes and a giveaway of 1000 $25 Home Depot giftcards. Contuining in 2011 the page will launch games as a fun way for fans to understand the importance of the Home Depot customers first philosophy as well as to understand some basic job functions.
