The existing Jeanes Hospital website was outdated in content, design and functionality. The Marketing Department launched an initiative to overhaul the website to help reposition Jeanes as a tertiary center and generate incremental patient volume. To meet these goals, the new website provides increased and enhanced content to potential patents and promotes specialty service lines and physicians

Through an innovative yet easy-to-use online experience, the new website demonstrates that Jeanes offers sophisticated tertiary care in the convenient, close-to-home setting of a community hospital.

The new website for Jeanes Hospital and its specialty service lines (special programs), which launched in September 2009, puts a wealth of up-to-date and easy-to-navigate healthcare information at potential patients’ fingertips. The primary target audience is women, aged 30 to 65, because women are the primary healthcare decision makers in the family.

The retooled website offers many times the content of the previous site, including comprehensive micro-sites for each service line, patient and visitor guides, and individual pages for all departments and programs. Other updates include a new internal search engine, a News Line, and an application that allows patients to submit requests for appointments with Jeanes Hospital physicians 24/7.

Initial results: the redesigned website has generated a four-fold increase in call volume to the Jeanes Referral Hotline in the months following launch (when compared to the same months last year). These calls have resulted in a large increase of referrals to the members of the Jeanes Medical Staff as well as Jeanes Hospital services
