The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), the oldest and largest medical specialty organization in the U.S. representing emergency medicine physicians, engaged BGT Partners to create a microsite to educate the public, emergency physicians and politicians about how the difference between myth and fact can be the difference between life and death when it comes to emergency medical care. The site was designed and developed within a tight timeframe in order to serve as a central point to increase political advocacy and protect emergency medical care in the upcoming reform of the U.S. healthcare system.
With these goals in mind, BGT developed an extremely user-friendly and educational site that fully engages users and provides them with various tools to communicate and share information. Users are able to learn about the myths and facts of emergency care and then share this information via various social media channels, contact their representative in Congress with a click of the button to voice their opinions and constantly stay informed via alerts and updates.
In addition to educating users and enabling them to share information, the microsite serves as a hub of ideas and tools to help ensure the nation has a strong emergency care system. In the Solutions tab, ACEP offers several helpful recommendations and in the Resources tab, there are numerous essential resources and tools to assist the media in spreading the message.
In sum, the ACEP microsite is a powerful hub of information and tools that quickly, intuitively and easily enables users to educate themselves, share information and advocate politically about the importance of protecting emergency medical care in the upcoming reform of the U.S. healthcare system.
