AGL Resources needed a fresh approach to increasing mind share and sales of natural gas products through their six regional companies on the East Coast. They required a solution that was approachable, educational, and effective at communicating and marketing the advantages of natural gas and its benefits to consumer lifestyles. An XML-driven Flash microsite in the form of a 3D home was chosen to address this challenge in a unique and appealing way within the traditionally conservative utilities market. The AGL Energy House educates both businesses and consumers about the variety of natural gas products available as well as their many uses in modern homes. As a fully interactive microsite, the Energy House integrates with the existing infrastructure of the Atlanta Gas Light web site and seamlessly drives users to the Buy Gas Appliances online store, which offers home appliances powered by natural gas.
