The goal of a Behind the Wheel project is to educate customers about the capabilities of the development tools created by Avnet Electronics Marketing. The audience for this project is engineers who design applications which utilize networked intelligent video surveillance. In conjunction with the press release announcing the kit, this multimedia kit tour has been viewed by over 700 companies and generated qualified leads resulting in over $5 million in new customer engagements. In addition to being available to view from the Avnet Design Resource Center website, Micron Technologies Inc. (one of the component suppliers on this kit) has also loaded the video on their own Field Application Engineers laptops and is currently using it in their customer demonstrations.
