TheCarConnection.com (TCC) is a highly regarded automobile site that is loaded with great content – but their outdated look (last updated five years ago) did little to improve their position with analysts and in generating new customers.
BGT was selected as The Car Connections’ Interactive Agency of Record, and immediately tasked with improving the foundation of their business, their public web site. The new site positions TCC as a leader in rich content with a design that is worthy of their position in the industry.
The web redesign initiative focused on several core business goals:
> Re-architect the CMS and streamline the taxonomy to make content easier to find and read
> Provide an exciting interface that is familiar to their loyal users and offers an exceptional user-experience
> Integrate new features that engage users (blogs, newsletters, …) to keep them loyal and attentive
The new site was launched during the 2007 Detroit Auto Show – and was an immediate hit. Analyst response was exceptional and advertisers were very receptive to the new look and increased their banner spend and media placement. The new site is already driving new revenue – and is serving as a foundation for expanded search engine marketing programs
