The Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic is a not for profit organization that delivers programs and services to women who are victims of violence. The service extends to the community at large, through a broad range of education, professional development, community development, and systemic reform initiatives and legal aid.
Objective:
To create a website that was friendly, non-threatening, easy-to-navigate and accessible to people who have little or no computer experience. This website was created as another tool of communication to aid these women in their quest for “Freedom From Violence.”
Project Description:
To create a simplistic and cohesive website that describes all areas and functions of the Clinic whereby they offer their unique services: Counselling, Interpreting, Legal, Education, Advocacy.
Target Audience:
The Schlifer Clinic provides assistance to women 18yrs and older who are victims of violence. Using creative and flexible approaches, the Clinic provides a wide range of services for women from diverse backgrounds.
In 2005/2006, they helped 1,571 women in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
