Best Directory Or Search Engine Microsite/landing Page

This popular online landing page was developed by leading local search engine Local.com to launch its October 2007 "Apple a Day Giveaway" contest to promote brand awareness and usage of the company's Local Mobile service. As part of the promotion, the company gave away one Apple iPhone each day for 30 days to Local Mobile users. To enter the "Apple a Day Giveaway" Local Mobile Challenge, users were directed to go to: www.local.com/win and complete the entry form. Consistently ranked as one of the best local mobile search applications in the industry, Local.com wanted to reach as many users as possible to experience Local Mobile's state-of-the-art local search capabilities. This was the first contest of its kind from Local.com and was aimed to be a creative way to drive people to try Local Mobile. It was a success. The goal of the promotion was that people would try the Local Mobile service and become repeat users while they were searching for products and services locally while on the go. The contest was promoted through a news release and ongoing links from the company's main webpage, www.local.com. The "Apple a Day Giveway” concept was designed by Local.com under the direction of Local.com's VP of Marketing, Jennifer Black.
