Last year, 100,000 kids spent the holidays in the hospital, leaving them and their families feeling sad and left out. Little kids are left to wonder how they can take part in the holiday festivities.
That’s why we created HospiTales—the first and only book series designed to ease stress, help kids find holiday magic, and even feel extra special.
But we couldn’t deliver physical books to all 100,000 kids. So we created HolidayHospitales.com to be an immersive wonderland where parents, hospitals, caregivers—and of course, kids—could access the stories digitally. The site and books show a wide range of children to make sure kids saw someone who looked just like them, in their exact circumstances.
Social posts, online readalouds, and even sales on Amazon had us engaging families across the country.
Through HospiTales and HospiTales.com, kids in the hospital saw themselves in holiday tales for the very first time, bringing them, and their families, a little holiday cheer during a tough time.
