The CRC Community Engagement Portal is an interactive forum that provides community members with information about our pipeline projects. Recognizing the limitations of the old portal, which was scheduled to be decommissioned, we built a new site in Squarespace to better meet niche functionality requirements including real-time project updates, forms, polls, and email listserve sign-ups. The portal goes beyond conventional project update platforms by fostering a collaborative environment where community members can sign up for project updates, view frequently asked questions, understand each project’s development life cycle, share ideas, provide feedback, and engage in meaningful discussions. For example, we asked users what ground-floor use they’d like to see at one of our mixed-use developments to strengthen buy-in among stakeholders. We also provide names, contact information, and photos of our project team members to promote transparency. To date, 192 community members have subscribed to our project update newsletters. Each website page follows the same custom design template that prioritizes user-friendly elements including buttons, tabs, and graphics. This uniformity in design promotes a visually cohesive brand identity and facilitates easy recognition and navigation. Moreover, consistency serves as a foundation for responsiveness across various devices. Whether accessed from a desktop, tablet, or mobile device, users can rely on a uniform and adaptive design that ensures a smooth experience regardless of the screen size. The CRC Community Engagement Portal is a testament to CRC’s commitment to community engagement and innovation in the realm of digital platforms for property development.
