We started with the primary insight that for 50 years, the unsung heroes serving, safeguarding, and securing our communities today have relied on one champion to secure their financial tomorrow - MissionSquare Retirement. However, our key decision makers were losing site of that. They were being swayed by the large retirement services companies entering the market.
By recognizing that frontline workers should retire with honor, we identified that police, fire, and paramedics have a known ritual when they retire. This campaign reflects that ritual. On their final day, at the end of their final ride, they deliver their final call. That is that they call into dispatch one final time and retire their badge. At that time, dispatch clears the line and thanks them publicly for their service. MissionSquare Retirement Call-To-Retire was born.
What better way to demonstrate the incredible responsibility of providing world class retirement opportunities for front-line workers then to recognize the magnitude of emotion that washes over them when they retire. And the honor and grateful acknowledgement of their service that is bestowed upon them by their team of people who help create their safety net through the years.
Born from the real life "911 call" of a local police officer from Pittsburgh, PA. Overwhelmed by the emotion of winding down a calling, not just a career. Inspired by the ritual that is known as the "final call."
