Saybrook Point Resort & Marina had a long history of upscale accommodations on Connecticut's Long Island shoreline. Emphasis on "history." Despite the fact that the resort had invested in several renovations and rejuvenated its offerings, its image was still decidedly old-fashioned and somewhat fusty. Definitely not what the actual experience was like. Saybrook Point came to us to help update and energize its brand. Knowing that so many travel and dining experiences begin with a visit to a website, we made theirs our priority. We designed a top-to-bottom refresh of their UX that involved infusing both visuals and copy with fresh new energy and personality that better captured what it felt like to visit the resort. A key consideration was adding more youthful, modern appeal while still retaining the elegant and classic Connecticut charm that still drew generations of families year after year. The client — and their customers — have been delighted with the results, feeling it far more accurately reflects the true Saybrook Point spirit, and gives a far better idea of what it's like to stay there.
