Only a small group of dog owners in Poland protect their dogs from fatal diseases spread by ticks in the fall and winter. Most people think this is only a problem in the summer. The "Season for Ticks 2" campaign initiated by the pharmaceutical company MSD Animal Health reached over 5 million pet owners in Poland. It made people aware that fall and winter are also dangerous periods, and it is worth protecting animals all year round. The involvement of influencers and veterinarians helped to engage thousands of people in the campaign. It saved many animals from fatal bites during autumn-winter walks. Campaign is a part of Protect Our Future Too (POFT) - regional initiative of MSD Animal Health to raise awareness of importance of all-year parasite protection among veterinarians and pet owners.
