Since the Covid-19 pandemic forced school closures and changed the landscape of homelife, millions of families were left unprepared for distance learning. We came up with a solution to help families turn uncertainty into an educational adventure. Developed with National Geographic, Outside Academy brought dimension and excitement to education at a time when students and parents needed it most. Outside Academy is an immersive Augmented Reality learning resource designed to get families out learning together by providing access to immersive lessons in history, science, and social studies that bring America’s National Parks to life. All from their phone.
By creating groundbreaking AR Instagram filters Outside Academy could be accessed and shared by anyone either within the National Parks or at home. We turned the family road trip into an interactive family field trip. Not only did we create the world's most engaging free educational resource, we also placed Hyundai’s green vehicles at the center of the outdoor adventure and education world, further promoting Hyundai’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
