2020was a big year for TecTrack™, an app for people treating their relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS) with Tecfidera®(dimethyl fumarate).Relapsing MS can be a silent yet progressive condition. If untreated, it can lead to flare-ups, brain lesions, and physical disability. TecTrack allows patients to track dosage and treatment progress, and ultimately stay adherent, which can help delay the progression ofthis debilitating disease.
After several years, and thousands of downloads, it was time to give TecTrack a makeover. This overhaul provided updates and considerations to help patients better manage treatment.
From UX to messaging, this redesign focused on adherence and convenience. For adherence, we created a feature that clearly visualizes completed and missed doses. This incentivizes treatment consistency and reinforces it through thoughtfully crafted reminders and messaging within the app.
We also brought in a powerful tool: care partners. A little support goes a long way. Patients can add care partners to their profile. An email summary out lining their compliance will be sent to this person, which hopefully leads to important conversations about adherence. Patients can also share this summary with healthcare providers.
To emphasize convenience, we introduced features like click-to-call options for HCP contacts and Patient Services, refill reminder push notifications, and customizable alarms including options for the weekend and time zones. Additionally, a new FAQ section answers common questions in the most convenient way—right from your phone.
9,000+ users have downloaded TecTrack, and now their treatment journey will be more convenient.
