Freshwater scarcity has become a major risk to human food and energy security, environmental health, and the global economy affecting 2 billion people directly. And by 2025, two thirds of the world’s population could be living in water-stressed areas. Forecast: Change is a program designed to generate awareness and action in support of clean water for all. The Forecast: Change initiative aimed to provide educational content and adaptation challenges related to water scarcity. And most importantly, starting June 5th, every time users checked their forecast on The Weather Channel app or weather.com, they unlocked clean water donations to people in need.
