The London Abused Women’s Centre is an agency that supports abused and exploited women in the London area. In 2018, LAWC was reported to have served over 6,000 women and the need for their services increased by an astounding 56% in one year alone. As such, LAWC set out to be more proactive about a large issue that many of the women they serve face: sex trafficking.
Using digital advertising, the goal of the campaign was to promote awareness about the issue, connect at-risk women with their services and resources (primarily women aged 18-25), as well as discourage male users from seeking to purchase sexual services.
As such, tbk Creative utilized the platforms of Facebook and Google Ads (Search), creating separate campaigns for two of the target audiences: at-risk women and “Johns” (men seeking to purchase sexual services.
