Editing is everything. And we wondered, what would happen if thousands of video creators had complete access to ALL the footage of the same film or music video?
To get the next generation of video creators and editors to try out Adobe Premiere Pro, and fend off the many free apps and inferior tools flooding the market, we partnered with Imagine Dragons to create a once in a lifetime opportunity: Take the new music video for Believer – all of it – every shot – and create their very own Imagine Dragons video using a free trial download of Adobe Premiere Pro. The winning creator would get $25,000.
An esteemed panel of celebrity judges chose the winner’s cut based on originality, creativity and use of Premiere Pro. The contest ended with a red-carpet rollout for the winner at Adobe’s HQ.
By leveraging the power of Adobe’s owned, paid and earned media channels and tapping into the fervent passion of Imagine Dragons’ fans, we were able to reach tens of thousands of aspiring young video creators, as well as existing customers all over the world. And in the process, we helped fuel their passion for editing and video creation, as well as their appreciation for the power of Adobe.
