To support Airbus with the launch of the new Airspace brand in 2016, Gravity proposed a microsite to house a VR execution and to demonstrate the values of the core brand pillars we had created for them. Our team looked at the key user journeys and through a unique AWS hosting solution we pioneered a new Devops/Dev workflow for Wordpress, where we customised some community plugins to allow our devs to deploy and scale across many EC2 instances with a single git push. We were also able to solve some other plugin issues for the community where cloud integration was preventing normal functionality in another plugin. Our system and customer CMS for the client enabled them the freedom to make last minute changes without compromising design and interactive devices (making for a very happy client). The design itself had a mobile first approach and through a custom integration with Mailchimp we were able to give attendees a customised journey. The site received over 100k visits in 3 months and continues to have traffic at volume. Through a thoughtful pre and post event communications plan the site itself gained traction fast and was picked up by the industry and mainstream press providing a lot of media value and brand exposure to the client for a small investment Lastly, the client – usually not able to move fast with creative decisions of these kinds, approved the creative approach and we boldly developed a terrific build in 1 month through a seamless delivery experience.
