Amazon wanted a way for potential candidates to engage with the content on their website, learn about the highly diverse aspects of the organization, and raise awareness of the variety of opportunities that are available.
They wanted a tool that could be pushed socially and one their website, that reflected the fun, learning nature of their culture, while inspiring potential candidates to take the next step and apply.
The result? A highly engaging, fun "hangman-esque" word game that invites players to look at a series of images and form a word from letters provided. Players can use a "hint" feature if they find themselves stumped on a letter. When users get the correct result, the game serves content around the "word" and why it relates to Amazon's culture, offerings, and opportunities. The user can continue playing the game, or click the link to explore content, returning to the game later.
Scores are tallied, and at the end, the player is able to head directly to the search jobs section of the site, or they can share their score on social platforms and invite those in their network to top it.
The game was launched to highly positive reviews, and even received some press of it's own!
