Marina Del Rey Hospital is a small, community health care provider in Los Angeles. The Hospital needed a way to reach its target audience while competing with large, corporate-owned hospitals in the area. To meet the challenge, Mark One Marketing developed and produce the Marina Del Rey Hospital HealthCasts, which are highly produced video vignettes specifically designed for online distribution. The HealthCasts feature the doctors of Marina Del Rey Hospital and position them as the experts within their respective fields. By using live call-ins and moderator based discussion, we have developed a highly engaging, relatable way for complex medical terminology and conditions to be communicated to our target audience. Distribution of the over 50 HealthCasts is achieved through our YouTube Channel and publicized through PR and Social Media efforts. The result has been astounding. Site engagement is up, organic search results are up, target market awareness is up, cases are up…and most of the Hospital’s doctors have inquired about featuring them in the next series of HealthCasts. The HealthCasts are a terrific example of how engaging, relevant, highly produced online video content can compete and succeed against the massive traditional advertising spends of the large competitor hospitals in one of the country’s most competitive markets.
