INTO THE GLITCH, is a groundbreaking interactive film, website takeover and product showcase for the German luxury brand MCM where glitches are not only a good thing, but functional and beautiful.
Its purpose, aside from being a uniquely creative product, was to raise awareness of the new ecommerce website and store opening in SOHO.
To start the viewer would simply log on to the MCM website upon which the site would appear to get hacked. Moments later they are met with a beautiful and mysterious girls face who prompts the viewer to ‘touch her’.
Unique symbols in place of the normal web cursor directed the user to engage 6 unique video outcomes showcasing key MCM product that appear in unexpected and humorous ways from within the girls head.
The campaign was a smash, boosting traffic to MCM.com
