The VerticalResponse website targets small businesses who want to connect with their customers using easy, affordable email marketing and social media marketing. The site’s goal is to convince visitors to sign up for a free account and try out our self-service marketing tools.
We know small business owners are busy and that marketing is only a small fraction of all the responsibilities that come with running a company. They don’t have all day to learn about our services and why they should use us. So, the site was designed to quickly communicate our core benefits with lots of descriptive images and minimal text.
The home page, which was redesigned in February 2015, provides a simple-to-understand breakdown of our application’s core features: easily create your email in minutes; rest assured that your email will be delivered to subscribers’ inboxes; and build your list with sign up forms and welcome emails. The page ends with a selection of customer testimonials that provide social proof.
The 100 percent responsive site includes pricing information upfront; explanations of our product's core features and benefits in plain, friendly language; a “resources” section featuring free guides, webinars and a link to our marketing blog; and large, colorful buttons throughout encouraging visitors to sign up for a free VerticalResponse account.
The site won a 2014 WebAward Standard of Excellence in three categories: application service provider, email and B2B. It also won two 2014 W3 Awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
