Since 2005, Carbonite has been a leader in providing online backup solutions to consumers worldwide. In the years since, the competition in the category has heated up. In 2013, Carbonite made the decision to switch gears and target a new audience: small businesses. Enter: the new Carbonite.com. This is a website with two tasks: explain the category of online backup, and then, through simple product offerings, get customers to the plan that’s right for them. Big, gorgeous imagery. Smart, personable copy presented in a fresh editorial format. We re-organized the product lines in a way that allowed users to quickly and efficiently find and buy the product most suited to their needs. And created a whole new section, 'In Action', populated with case studies to demonstrate Carbonite's proven ability to address the online backup needs of small businesses. When launched the performance of the site skyrockets across all measures. One Carbonite associate said they had never seen such a dramatic improvement in performance on any site.
