Best Beverage Rich Media Online Ad

The brief:
Appletiser had launched their new slim can but the public misconception was that the thinner can meant less volume. We were briefed to showcase the new can and reiterate that the can was still 330ml of the Appletiser everyone knows and loves.

Our approach:
We wanted to get the message across simply, quickly and in a beautiful way – no heavy explanations but rather a visual demonstration. We decided to target our market in a space that was a good mix of traditional and digital – an online magazine.

The solution:
We created what seemed to be a typical magazine advert. Instead of keeping the advert static, we used a gesture commonly used whilst browsing mags on a smart device, such as an iPad or tab, to activate it.

Once our audience swiped to the next page in the magazine, the HTML 5 advert activated and the old look can began to spin and evolve into the slender, taller version. A simple message of “A new spin on things. NEW 330ml slender can.”
