In order to showcase Sonos’s newest product, the Playbar, we endeavored to design a simple eye catching animation capable of instantly informing the viewers that this was more than a simple speaker. That it was a means to fill your entire home with sound. Of course these banners lacked the ability to play actual sound, so we were left with crafting a slick visual metaphor that could grab our audience’s attention from out of the corner of their eyes. As the centerpiece of your home entertainment network, the banner begins with the playbar existing in a cold colorless room, but slowly, color expands from all sides of the playbar and fills up everything with a satisfying glow. The banner focuses on the product, but contains a small bit of the TV for context as to product placement in your home. Our goal was to specifically target those individuals with an obsession for both style and high quality sound, as well as tech conscious enough to desire an intuitive user friendly interface.
