The Taxpayer Receipt application is a tool to help the citizens of Utah better understand how their individual taxes are being spent. Individuals can enter into the application the amount of tax paid and the tool will estimate the amount that is budgeted to 11 categories. It was created with the goal in mind that a better-informed citizen will be a more involved citizen in helping direct how state budgets are spent. The tool also displays the information in a very simple to understand format so that citizens will have a good understanding of the data.
