Best Travel Email Message Campaign

The audience is all travelers worldwide who are searching for an airline ticket. The XSMAILS are sent to all customers who have booked a ticket via one of Travix International’s websites (six different online travel providers).

Cross-selling is a must in the online ticket market, given the low margins on ticket sales. The ease with which the internet can be searched for the ‘cheapest’ ticket has produced fierce competition. In addition to airline tickets, it is thus imperative to offer other products. Travix saw here a great challenge: how do we get our airfare buyers into our hotels, get them into our rental cars and ensure an optimal brand experience before and after the actual flight? The logical choice is email marketing - targeted campaigns with currently available offers, sent at the perfect moment: the XSMAIL campaign. The focus of the campaign: perfect timing, relevant content, current and available offers, and real-time prices.

The flow of the campaign is entirely dependent on the time between booking and departure and arrival and return. Using the campaign tool in Tripolis Dialogue, each booker is placed in a personal flow. Based on brand, templates are activated, built and sent following a tight schedule. The timing of the mailings is carefully determined based on the booking behavior of not only the hotel and flight bookers but also those booking car rentals. The flow is adjustable by brand, and the system is built such that simple campaigns can be added.
