The majority of people engaged are currently older residents of white, affluent neighborhoods. We want to expand this reach to everyone else that lives and/or works in the City. This includes schools, young families (often Asian and East Asian immigrant populations on work visas) and married couples with no kids. Children and 20-somethings are considered influencers. We cant control when disasters or acts of terror happen. What we can do is be ready -- gather together and build a culture of preparedness, and be safer as a result. Community matters. Neighborhoods working together matter.
