UBM’s Future Cities launched in mid-October, as the first B2B community discussing global urbanization and sustainability. It instantly resonated with the industry. In just 2.5 months the site generated tremendous record-breaking responses with 870,000 page views, 6,168 site registrants, and 3,400 messages posted. Schneider Electric approached UBM with the goal of increasing its visibility and branding around its energy management services. As the global online community bringing together visionaries from all over the world who are responsible for building, designing, and supporting tomorrow's urban environments, UBM’s Future Cities was the perfect fit for this, aligning with Schneider Electric's target audience and content messaging strategy. With sponsorships available by channel, Schneider Electric decided to exclusively sponsor the IT Datacenter and Energy Smart Grid channels on Future Cities; giving it ownership of all branding and messaging on those channels' related content. Schneider Electric’s sponsorship included a 3-part webinar and audio series in addition to whitepaper downloads, all of which appear in the sponsored channels on the Future Cities. The IT Datacenter and Energy Smart Grid channels were hot spots on the site, totaling 106,000 and 58,000 page views respectively and accounting for nearly 20% of the site’s traffic. Schneider Electric’s banners generated 328,000 impressions, and its online events were extremely well received, with the audio shows totaling 947 registrants and 767 comments and the webinars reaching 1,506 registrants with record breaking attendee rates averaging 50%. Schneider Electric was extremely pleased with the campaign and has renewed for a second quarter.
