Winning Entry: GovHK - One-stop portal of HKSAR Government
Winner Name: Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, HKSAR Government
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) provides leadership for the development of information and communications technology (ICT) within and outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government. We aim to deliver quality e-Government services and provide the public with information and services they need in an efficient and convenient manner by using ICT appropriately. We also support bureaux/departments to make the best use of ICT to achieve their policy objectives. The GovHK programme is one of the key businesses of our e-government initiatives to provide client-centric joined-up government services for the public. Launched in 2007, the one-stop portal of the HKSAR Government GovHK features the most sought-after public services and information to make them easier to access and use by members of the public. It adopts a service clustering approach so that the public do not need to know the internal structure of the Government and yet can obtain useful services and information to meet their needs.
