“I want to be happier.” “I want to make more money.” “I’m going to exercise every day.”
These are the types of goals that patients with depression tend to set for themselves—goals that are loftier than they can achieve, which often results in the feeling of failure.
That’s why we created the Moodivator app. The app aims to:
• Take the guesswork out of setting realistic goals: With its insight-driven user experience, the app guides users through a clear, step-by-step process.
• Help patients understand their mood changes: By recording their mood along with their goal progress, patients can see the correlation between small wins and improved mood.
• Provide the recognition and motivation patients crave: Research revealed that patients weren’t getting the recognition they need for their achievements (which could be as small as taking a shower that day) or the proper motivation for getting there. So the app provides regular notifications to push patients along, as well as recognizes every interaction as a success.
